MARK WINKLER Mark Winkler is an award winning singer/lyricist who has had his tunes covered by such artists as Dianne Reeves, Randy Crawford, Liza Minnelli and Nancy Wilson. He has written over 350 songs -- writing lyrics with such esteemed composers as Joe Sample, Wayne Shorter, David Benoit and David Pomeranz. He has released 9 CDs in the United States - the latest being, ''Mark Winkler Sings Bobby Troup" which is a loving tribute to the hip California composer. Just out on Varese Sarabande, a compilation of 20 years of his songs entitled "Garden of Earthly Delights: The Best of Mark Winkler and Friends". His CDs have been released on Polydor in Japan and Bellaphon in Germany. He is the co-writer of the hit Off-Brodway Musical Review "Naked Boys Singing" entering it's 9th year. He is the creator and writer of "Too Old for the Chorus" which has played in Los Angeles and San Diego. And he's written some lyrics from a dog's point of view for a new Musical Review called "Bark" now playing in Los Angeles, Portland and Chicago. He is co-creator and lyricist for the highly lauded jazz film noir musical "Play It Cool" which premiered to rave reviews at the Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles. He has co-written 9 songs with Marilyn Harris - 5 for her "Future Street" CD and 4 for her "Round Trip" CD, and 2 songs on Bettina Devin's premiere CD "Dangerous Type".
